Tuesday & Wednesday evenings at 8:00 pm • Sundays at 5:30 pm
Refuge Recovery OKC is part of a worldwide community who are using the practices of mindfulness, compassion, forgiveness and generosity to heal the pain and suffering that addiction has caused in our lives and the lives of our loved ones.
Meetings are peer-led and open to all forms of recovery. There is no requirement for membership and we welcome all those who are seeking freedom from any type of addiction.
From a Buddhist perspective, everyone is in some form of recovery. We are here to explore how Dharma practice and meditation can deepen this process. This group is not intended to be a substitute for any recovery program but rather a further support for your own spiritual awakening.
The group format:
- 20 minutes of mindfulness meditation.
- Introduction of the topic for this evening, discussing how it applies to recovery, meditation and Dharma practice.
- Opening of the meeting for others to share, comment or ask questions about the topic presented.
